At the back which takes up the top one third of the photo are layers of tree canopies in dark green. Sunlight radiates from the top of the image then diffuses into a pool of white with orange edges that resembles fog and cloud. In the centre of the lower part of the photo is the silhouette of a boatman and his boat. Ripples appear at where his oar touches the water.

The artist thinks the image of a fish boat swaying on misty waters at dawn is like a beautiful painting.
