Le French May presents its first sound art exhibition, 'Beyond The Sound', curated by Anne-Laure Chamboissier and featuring the works of 14 French and Hong Kong artists.
Living in a metropolis, we are constantly bombarded by sound. While most of which is washed off beyond our attention, it leaves lamentably rare aural space to share. The attention to hearing a space, in a reticent moment, is the focus of this exhibition. 'Soundscape' is a concept shared by Pascal Broccolichi, Joe Chan, Jasper Fung, Pierre-Jean Giloux, Eddie Ladoire, the Talec Cécile, Cédric Maridet, Edwin Lo and Samson Young, which offers an immersive experience that is almost unreal. Pierre Bastien, Pierre Laurent Cassière, Bertrand Lamarche and Phoebe Hui work on the notion of 'the object of the sound / sound of an object', with Rainier Lericolais. Using silence, they together explore the element and materiality of sound. Expect to encounter a new sensory space through this journey.
